APPOINTMENTS

Initial Consultation :

The first session will be more structured than usual, including questions about what brings you to therapy, what you feel is wrong in your life, any symptoms you are experiencing, and your personal history. The purpose is to start building a picture of your past and present relationships, important life events, and repeating patterns, feelings or emotions that cause you distress. By clarifying these factors your Therapy will be more effective and can be tailored to your needs. We will also look at your strengths, supports, and goals for therapy.

Regular Therapy Sessions:

Individual psychotherapy or counselling sessions are 60 minutes and we will contract to have sessions at a regular time and place, usually on a weekly or fortnightly basis. For some clients with challenging mental health issues, complex trauma, or those seeking more intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy , twice-weekly 50 minute sessions (at a reduced rate) may be appropriate.

I would make all attempts to discuss this with you first in the rare occasion that this was necessary.
